We met in the car park at The Boot and Shoe. There were two visitors, Mike a local and The Dripper from Bangkok H3.
Alarm bells rang when Fiend on Wheels( FOW), our hare for the evening pointed to her dinky folding bike.
After the usual instructions FOW informed us that she would be following us on the said bike.
She did follow, she would appear from time to time, by a playground, (Bowerham), cruising the kerbside, (Hala), at the end of a ginnel, (Bailrigg), next to the cemetery, (Picadilly), by the canal, (Haverbreaks), all the while grinning like a Cheshire cat, watching our pain and enjoying every minute of it.
Thanks to a commitment to food at the pub FOW was forced to end this torture and shorten the run so we will never experience the delights of Greaves and Scotforth. How sad.
No circle - food beckoned
