R*n 526: Garstang

In response to the note under r*n 526 on the website I would like to say that I am not meaning to taking the p*ss or can't be bothered, well maybe a bit of the second one, but not the first! I just keep forgetting, also now that I have come to it I have almost entirely forgotten the hash itself.

I know it started with me parking expertly, until I noticed the wall, which was inexplicably placed at the edge of the carpark. The turn-out was much better for this hash than it was for the last Boxing Day hash, maybe people had heard about the sweets and clementines Twisted was bringing this time? It was absolutely pee-ing it down before we started, however we were really lucky and had a completely dry r*n.

Unfortunately the Rambo branch of the Wimps/Rambo split was off limits as the pub had put a curfew on us so we all followed the same path. The r*n was a nice mix of cross-country and suburban, we had to play a bit of chicken to get across the A6 and at some point we crossed a river which according to the bridge was the Calder (but I can't find the bridge anywhere on the map). It was mostly uneventful although halfway round Upper Skirt and I were accused of getting lost. The cheek! We had apparently managed to both get lost and rejoin the hash without even knowing, I think this may be a whole new level of bad navigation.

Pugsley was back first, to no-ones surprise and when we'd all arrived we circled up. Upper Skirt was given a down down for losing the trail (I thought I'd got away with it!). I was given one down down for 'crashing' my car, then someone decided to grass me up for losing the trail too and I got a second. There was probably more but I can't remember who as I was so tipsy after mine!

Then we all headed into the pub for some marvellous food and drink.
