'Twas a night before Christmas, when all through the house
White Noise was preparing with her long suffering spouse
An evening of food, good company and fun
To follow the labour of a well laid r*n
At six o'clock prompt the circle formed
"Hares on in" - the ritual was performed
No fish hooks or beer stop, one blob and you're on
"Check it out" - the hounds were soon gone
A wimps rambo split appeared all too soon
Under the light of a Christmas full moon
The pack rejoined at the site of the station
That no one was lost was a novel sensation
Staying together we followed the trail
Following a scent of good food and fine ale
Our destination we would all soon reach
A welcome home, On Inn, a villa of beech
Whilst eating our food nicely browned
Outside I heard sleigh bells, a wonderful sound
Looking through the window I thought it a trick
But no! It really was him, Santa! St Nick.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove and was gone,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL - ON ON!
